How to Create a cPanel Account in WHM?

Creating a cPanel account in Web Host Manager (WHM) is a straightforward process that allows you to set up hosting for your clients or manage multiple websites efficiently. This guide will walk you through the entire process step by step.
Prerequisites
Before you begin, ensure you have:
- Root or administrative access to WHM
- Necessary information for the new account (domain name, username, etc.)
- Sufficient server resources to create a new account
Step-1: Log into WHM
- Open your web browser
Navigate to your WHM control panel (typically https://server_ip:2087 or https://hostname:2087) - Enter your root credentials
- Click “Log In”
Step 2: Access Create Account Feature
- In the WHM dashboard, locate the “Accounts” section
- Click on “Create a New Account”
- You’ll be presented with a form to enter new account details

Step 3: Fill in Account Details
- Domain Name: Enter the primary domain for this hosting account
- Username: Create a unique username (typically lowercase)
- Password: Generate a strong, unique password
- Use a combination of uppercase and lowercase letters
- Include numbers and special characters
- Aim for at least 12 characters in length

Package and Hosting Options
- Select a hosting package that defines:
- Disk space allocation
- Bandwidth limits
- Email accounts
- Database permissions


Verify the Binding
- The new binding should appear in the Site Bindings list
- Test the website by accessing it through the newly added binding
Step 4: Create the Account
- Review all entered information
- Click “Create”
- WHM will process the request and generate the new cPanel account
Post-Creation Steps
- Verify account creation status
- Test login to the new cPanel
- Send account credentials to the client securely
