How to Create Email Accounts in Plesk?

 

Introduction

Plesk provides a user-friendly interface for creating and managing email accounts. This guide will walk you through the entire process of setting up email accounts, ensuring you can efficiently manage email communication for your domains.

Prerequisites

Before you begin, ensure you have:

  • Ensure you have administrative access to Plesk
  • Have the domain name ready where you want to create the email account
  • Know the desired email username and password

Step-1: Log into WHM

  • Open your web browser
    Navigate to your WHM control panel (typically https://server_ip:8443 or https://hostname:8443)
  • Enter your login credentials
  • Click “Log In”

Step 2: Select the Domain

  • From the main dashboard, locate the “Domains” section
  • Find and click on the domain where you want to create the email account
  • Select the “Mail” or “Email” tab

Step 3: Create a New Email Account

  • Look for “Create Email Address”  button
  • Click to open the email account creation form

    Fill in Email Account Details

     

    • Password:
      • Create a strong, unique password
      • Use a mix of uppercase and lowercase letters
      • Include numbers and special characters
      • Aim for at least 12 characters

     

    • Mailbox Size:
      • Set appropriate storage limits
      • Consider your domain’s storage capabilities

    Step 4: Save and Verify

    1. Review all entered information
    2. Click “OK” or “Create” button
    3. Plesk will process and create the email account
